The Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) is a professional organization focused on the construction industry and issues related to productivity, cost effectiveness, the promotion of safety. Founded in 2000, CURT offers membership to construction professionals, whether you’re an owner, contractor, association, or young professional. Throughout the year, the organization hosts events featuring presentations from some of the industry’s top professionals.
From July 27-28, CURT is hosting a Young Professionals Summit in Orlando, FL intended to foster and promote leadership in the younger generation of the construction industry. Here’s a snippet from the organization’s website regarding what it hopes to offer young professionals:
“-Have a Voice - CURT YPs can stand up and be heard in a forum that allows them to openly share ideas to improve the construction industry.
-Build a Network - CURT YPs establish lasting relationships with existing and future industry leaders.
-Become a Leader - CURT YPs enhance leadership and management skills through active participation in CURTs broad portfolio of development tools.
-Gain Valuable Perspective - CURT YPs have the unique opportunity to broaden their understanding of what it takes to succeed by viewing the industry through the collaborative lens of Owners and their industry partners.”
The preliminary agenda for this summit has been released and there are some interesting guests already booked, including the Walt Disney Corporation, whom is always at the forefront of innovation, and Brent Darnell, who is an emotional intelligence expert, one of ENR’s Top 25 Newsmakers and the subject of one of our past articles.
The cost of early registration for the two-day conference is $349 and jumps to $399 if you register past July 1st. Full details of the event can be found by clicking here, but you will be required to create an account.
