Would you rather just simply eat your lunch or make your lunch shake in its little lunch boots as you devour it? That’s what we thought. Why use some standard, throwaway plastic cutlery, when there’s a jet black tactical spork with a hidden serrated knife in the handle?
KA-BAR, the hardcore knife manufacturer, has recently released the only spork that I’ve ever thought was cool looking. Made of high strength Grilamid, a high strength and food safe plastic material, this spork/knife combo is as tough as plastic cutlery gets. The tool is 6.875” in total length with a 2.5” knife inside the handle and weighs in at 1 pound. When you’re finished, clean it up and use it for lunch the next day. Just don't try to bring it on a plane or in a government building, they don't think hidden knives in sporks are cool.
Getting your communications right is critical on any construction site. For effective planning and coordination, for efficient management of different teams and for health and safety, having a reliable means of keeping everyone in touch at all times is essential.
When it comes to cordless power tools, you usually have to make a choice between two things: power and convenience. As technology advances, especially battery technology, the gap is beginning to shrink and smaller tools are becoming more powerful. One of the clear examples of that is Milwaukee Tool’s new M18 Fuel Hackzall, a one-handed reciprocating saw, which was first announced at the manufacturer’s New Product Symposium in June of this year.
There is an opportunity to revolutionize the way we protect construction workers from fall hazards while dramatically reducing waste and inefficiency in the construction industry. The Hilmerson Safety Rail System™ was designed and engineered with feedback from industry experts with one goal in mind: Reinvent the guardrail to eliminate inefficiencies, cut costs, send zero waste to landfills, and improve workplace safety.

I’ve written about Hand Tool Rescue’s Youtube channel a couple times before and the reason I like it so much is that it’s not only entertaining and therapeutic to watch, it also informs me about tools I never even knew existed.
[sponsored] With the hottest of the summer months behind us, we are moving into the cooler months of autumn on the jobsite. While Helly Hansen is frequently seen on snowy slopes and high seas, their tradition of quality and protection actually originated in premium workwear.
On August 18th, around 200 new tools were showcased at the annual DeWalt Media Event. This particular event was held in Nashville, Tennessee, where you can’t escape country music no matter how hard you try.
Below are what we thought were the highlights of the event. Let us know what new release you’re most excited about!
In June, Milwaukee Tool hosted its annual New Product Symposium, which gave members of the media a sneak peak of the new products the red tool manufacturer would release the rest of the year. One of the highlights for us in the M12/M18 category was the ultra-portable and convenient 7 ¼” Cordless Miter Saw.
I’ve recently been following a channel on Youtube called Hand Tool Rescue and it’s been fascinating to learn the history of antique hand and power tools. I didn’t realize how long ago many power tools – most of which we still use today – were created. It’s perhaps even more fascinating to watch a rusty old machine that hasn’t been used in decades be completely restored to working condition. His videos don’t have voice overs, so you have to pay close attention to his methods, but every step of the process is shown.
Many contractors and repair technicians live out of their truck and Milwaukee Tool knows this. That’s why they’ve just released an M12 and M18 battery charger that plugs into the c12V DC outlet in your truck or van! As added security, the charger will automatically shut down if it senses that your vehicle’s battery is getting too low. Smart and ultra-convenient.
We know a lot of you out there could use this charger, so we teamed up with Milwaukee to give YOU the chance to WIN one! There are 4 ways to enter below!
