Procore Adds 3 Enhancements to Daily Logs & Safety Incident Logging on Mobile

Daily logs are a time consuming, but necessary process.  Thankfully, there have been plenty of technological developments in recent years allowing superintendents and foremen to more easily collect and submit daily log information on mobile devices.  Procore features mobile Daily Logs on their Project Management platform and it recently received updates to help simplify the process.

Daily Log Calendar, via Procore

In a recent blog post, Procore announced 3 updates to the Daily Log tool, including Daily Log Calendar View, Manpower Log, and Customizable Fields within Manpower Logs.

The Daily Log Calendar view will allow superintendents and project managers to more quickly and easily see when daily logs have been submitted and approved. Through the use of different colored dots under each calendar day, users can get a high level overview of submissions instantly.

The manpower log helps highlight which sub or specialty contractor’s daily logs still need to be completed.  The data from those logs can be used to predict which companies will be on site, their number of laborers, their hours, and the associated cost code.

Every company works differently, so being able to customize forms is key.  Within manpower logs, Procore users can now add customized fields, including items such as equipment use, daily hazard analysis, and background checks, among others.

In addition to the enhancements to daily logs, Procore also released the ability to submit safety incident forms directly on mobile. Logging and correcting hazards on the jobsite is key to future prevention, so it’s pretty handy to be able to get that information into the Procore platform immediately from the field. Users can add pictures, add witness statements, create follow-up actions, and more.
