Construction Junkie’s annual Best Construction Podcast Competition is underway for 2019 and the voting booth is officially open.  As part of the contest this year, we will be highlighting one of the contest’s nominees each week. This week we highlight Builtcast.

The newest show in our contest this year, Builtcast, came onto the scene in January of 2019.  Hosted by Kurt and Reid Bangert  of Bangert Inc., a construction technology company, Builtcast aims to “explore the people and stories behind growth, technology, and change in the construction industry.” Each episode is less than 25 minutes in length and features an interview with a guest who is making an impact in the world of construction technology.

Now 19 episodes deep, Builtcast has featured a wide variety of guests, including construction company owners like Vanessa Linscott, 84 Lumber’s VP of National Sales Billy Ball, and Construction Technologist Kris Lengieza of Procore.

Each episode dives right into the interview with that week’s guest, usually by starting with a simple question: “How did you get into construction?”  It’s an interesting question that helps lead the guest into the story of their career.

By first looking back on the beginning of the guest’s career, listeners can hear a full progression of what shaped how they do business today and how their workflows have changed over the years. It’s certainly always good to hear about other people’s perspectives and similar challenges that you might have gone through in your career.
