The story of David vs. Goliath is an inspiration to many people in the world and apparently even more so to one man from Finland. With motivations still unknown today, the guy tried and tried to break an excavator by repeatedly throwing rocks at the machine. Was he mad at the machine? Perhaps it looked at him funny. Was he mad at the excavator operator? That’s a more likely scenario, but the operator wasn’t having any of it.
If I’m going to get in an unwanted fight, it’s not a bad position to be in by occupying a cab of a multi-ton excavator. As the operator in the video below was waiting for the police to arrive, he played some major defense against the rock throwing shirtless guy for at least a solid few minutes. The guy was probably lucky the operator stayed cool and called the police, instead of inflicting some major hurt with the bucket. When the police finally arrived, the rock thrower calmly approached them and was quickly arrested. Weird, but entertaining.

A couple of weeks ago, we followed the very amusing story of the Leaning Tower of Dallas. For those unfamiliar, it all started as an innocent attempt at a building implosion, but ended up becoming an internet meme, a tourism landmark, and the subject of a petition to turn it into a monument. Well, the big joke is over, as what remained of the tower has finally fallen.
